Egg Hunt Anyone???

The Easter bunny is on it's way! To prepare I'm sharing some Easter cards I made this week. Doesn't this A2 egg hunt card get you in the mood! It features a card base by Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) and a sentiment from Studio G stamped in Hero Arts neon ink

So crafters when those single small stamps are on sale snag 'em! They work great as focal elements on cards and as accents on layouts. This focal is popped up on the left overs from pop dots. Use all of it people! Even when the dots are gone the skeleton can be cut and placed. It's guaranteed that this card will not squish in the mail.

This card just makes me happy! By the way, it's accented with a scrap of ribbon and epoxy dots from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Please leave me your email address in your comment. It will be the only way I can contact you.

*****************************Now on to the project!**********************************

I decided to CASE (copy and share everything) a card from Pinterest. At the end of the post I shared the inspiration and the designer's blog.

I created two almost identical cards based on the original. I have always been curious about the white on white on WHITE cards. It makes me think... what's up with all the white? But I must say I GET IT now. It's gorgeous...refined... classy...especially for wedding cards.

All the patterned cardstock came from a single SEI stack called white elegance. The cardstock is white with an embossed white pattern. I chose patterns that would blend in and complement each other.

One of the layers is punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the top note is made using Stampin' Up! nesting dies and accented with a punched element on top. A Prima flower and diamond shaped Recollections bling accent the card front.

Just look at all that dimension! But guess what? It can still fit in a normal envelope!!

Our Daily Bread Designs had the most wonderful wedding sentiment - recipe for a happy marriage - and the cake stamp is from Recollections. I used Versafine for the sentiment and Encore metallic ink for the cake. Oh and both of the external sentiments are from Recollections stamped in the same inks.

I bet you didn't notice....for extra flair, the card base and a couple of the layers are made with heavy weight cream shimmer cardstock from my stash. I am very happy with how it came out. Surprisingly, CASEing a card takes much longer than creating one from scratch.

Here's my inspiration by Debbie Stevens of PaperPastimes. I fell in love with the layers and the richness of her creation.

Please be sure to hop over to all the other wonderful blogs. Here is the entire line-up:

So Many Reasons to Celebrate Birthday Card

Here's a hand-made birthday card that's sure to please! It features products by American Crafts, We R Memory Keepers, Hot off The Press, Little Yellow Bicycle, Cuttlebug and Memento.

I began with a card and envelope by American Crafts. To start, I ran the front through my cupcake cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I put the card aside for a while. I wasn't sure what to do next or even if I liked it. But alas I came back to it a couple of weeks later with a perfect idea! I had just received The Hot Off the Press chalkboard sayings paper toile and layering it to make a focal is as easy as 1, 2, 3! No, really the items are numbered and all you need is some good foam tape.

Although it's hard to see the reasons to celebrate is popped up was well as the shortest cake platter. beneath a added 2 strips of We R Memory Keepers chevron washi tape.

To finish the inside I added a sentiment from Little Yellow Bicycle. And away we go!!

Celebrate Life Cancer Survivor Card

It all started with a window die cut card base from Purple Daisy Designs, Copicsstamps from Rubber Cottage and My Pink Stamper and of course outline stickers from Elizabeth Crafts! I'm so addicted!!! I dream about outline stickers. LOL! The result was a unique encouragement card for a breast cancer survivor.

Who doesn't want to open their window and see a beautiful rose garden? I love the combo of fonts and the interactive card front.

Inside these purple roses are meant to symbolize hope and peace. I create the glitter cardstock it's created on with Elizabeth crafts warm diamond glitter, white cardstock and sookwang double sided adhesive.

Our Friendship Quilt Card featuring Repeat Impressions

I had some fun with Repeat Impressions stamps today! The focal is a combo of the Quilt Frame stamp and a heart image. The quilt frame stamp is over a year old but this is the first time I used it. I don't know how to sew, so this is the next best thing! I like the versatility in the design. You can color the patterns a number of different ways, all with excellent results. I colored in the designs using a variety of Wink of Stella brush markers. These markers are the best for coloring in all those tiny spots and spaces. The glittery finish is awesome.

Repeat Impression's friendship stamp was used for the internal sentiment. I used a thread spool from my stash to bring home the sewing theme.

St. Patrick's Day Shamrock card

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I had an idea to make a collage St. Patrick's Day card. It all started with a My Mind's Eye chalkboard card base, bling from Michaels and some themed stickers from Stickabilities. The patterned paper from The Paper Studio accents the focal perfectly. White Recollections cardstock and faux stitching drawn with a Zig Millennium pen completes the look.

********************************************************************************

I have 2 forgotten holiday crafts for you today. I was obsessed with thinking about them both but haven't tried it until now. First, I made a coffee filter wreath using a pack of coffee filters and foam wreath form that I purchased at Dollar Tree. I love how it came out! It's so versatile and can be used for any holiday by changing the ribbon. I'm going to use this one for Easter.

It took almost the whole pack of coffee filters. I folded each filter in half and then half again before attaching it to the wreath form with a low temp hot glue gun. I then worked my way out and to the back. Once all the filters were attached I gave it an overall haircut. I felt like edward scissorhands! The glitter mesh ribbon in hot pink completed the look.

Second, I used the same low temp hot glue gun to attach clear bling to glitter ornaments. I saw these at a craft fair 2 years ago and I was like I could do that!!

I made one with a more random pattern and one with a more linear pattern. Both of these crafts are great to do as a family. I am glad I was able to complete these tasks and I'll be able to enjoy them for years to come.

Complete lineup:

Thank you so much for taking the time to hop with us today.
